Ashley Winsbury-Cutts – Events and Catering Director
After starting out in the catering industry at the tender age of 15, I worked for a large hotel chain in banqueting and conference department, whilst gaining my hospitality and catering qualifications. After meeting Aimee we both ran independent restaurants until 2006 when we started our own pub/restaurant company. After 11 years, we wanted a change of scene and therefore, started Edward James events.
I am meticulous, hardworking and have exceptionally high standards. I am passionate about the catering industry and thrive on planning and organising events.
When I am not working, I can be found on a golf course or spending time with my three children.
Jonathan Cutts – Executive Chef/Co-Founder
After leaving Colchester institute, I spent a year in America, working at The Inn at Perrycabin, Maryland. On my return I spent 6 years working for her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, overseeing state functions and travelling to various residences. I then moved back to Colchester and started working at The Swan at Felstead, where we won Essex Life, Gastro pub of the year 2010. I then found my passion in outside catering working with various company’s in Essex and Suffolk. I have now put my knowledge and experience into starting Edward James.
Aimee Winsbury-Cutts – Events Director
My family have been in the catering and hospitality industry for generations, so feel I have been born into catering. I gained a 2:1 BSc degree in geography and leisure and tourism at Canterbury Christ Church University, after which Ashley and I managed independent restaurants until 2006. We then started our own restaurant and pub company, after 11 years it was time for a new challenge, and thus Edward James was born.
I am highly organised and efficient, I deal with all admin and co-ordinate events, and I am always happy to help. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my children and being in the countryside.
